According to the surveys conducted by government, there were 200,000 Indians aged between 18 and 35 years in March. A majority of the respondents hailed from urban regions.

Indians youth are so much serious about the votes that over eight in 10 believe voting should made compulsory while around two-thirds said they cast their votes every time without fail.
